Respite Care

When you need a break or when emergencies take you away from your caring duties, you can be confident your loved one will be cared for. We offer both scheduled and rapid response respite support.

Respite Support

More care in the UK is provided by families and friends rather than by care companies. Over 5.4m people in the UK provide unpaid care for family or friends and over 1.4m of these care for someone over 50 hours every week. Unpaid care is a crucial to the UK economy. As well as providing support from those who know and understand the cared for individual best, unpaid care reduces pressure on the NHS and local authorities.

Providing unpaid care involves a high level of commitment. Unpaid carers will often have work and family commitments and may have their own health conditions to deal with. This is where the Optimal Future respite service can help. At Optimal Future, we recognise the excellent work that carers perform, sometimes in challenging circumstances. Our respite support service has been designed to meet the need for carers to have a break from their caring roles with the confidence that their loved one remains well supported.
